Internship in Cambodia
Inros Lackner gave me the great opportunity of travelling to Cambodia for four months as an intern. This was not only a special professional experience, but also a trip with new cultural impressions and personal development. An adventure I will never forget!
In conversation with Thilo Grosse, student of civil engineering at the TU Dresden
Even during my studies, I wanted to gain my first work experience abroad. I started looking for a company in Germany that offered internships abroad. Inros Lackner gave me the opportunity to complete a four-month internship in Cambodia. In addition to a salary, Inros Lackner also covered the cost of flights and accommodation.
During my time in Asia, I dealt intensively with topics such as the international FIDIC contract, took part in contract negotiations and independently mastered project management tasks. At the same time, I wrote a scientific paper for my studies, in which the team in Cambodia actively supported me. The exchange with my work colleagues made my stay particularly enriching. They not only introduced me to their work, but also to their culture. Almost every day there was a new culinary journey of discovery for me, where I tasted exotic fruits and local delicacies.
In my free time, I explored Cambodia by motorbike, bus, train and boat. I used almost every weekend to discover new places. One particular highlight was a trip with my work colleagues to an impressive waterfall. My conclusion after these six months: it was an unforgettable experience that I will benefit from and talk about for the rest of my life.
