Rostock's StadtHalle

Inros Lackner’s design proposal for the extension and remodelling of Rostock’s city hall evidently impressed Rostocker Messe- und Stadthallengesellschaft mbH, the company with responsibility as client for the modernisation of the 36-year-old city hall. The capacity of its main hall was being increased to 6,700, and the foyer is approximately 1,900 m² bigger and twice as high. The main objective was to ensure adequate space for exhibitions, and to offer visitors increased comfort at concerts, sporting events and balls. The opening took place on 1 May 2018 as part of the 800th anniversary of the Hanseatic City of Rostock.
